TEDxULAVAL - Andre Potvin - Architecture

A professor at the architecture school at University Laval, André Potvin gears his research towards the development of bioclimactic architecture and carbon neutral architecture and urban planning. He is also interested in building from the point of vue of the occupier, or inhabitant of a building, the person for whom architecture is to be conceived. Concerned with climate change and convinced that architects can take on a great role in countering the phenomenon, André is going to talk to us about environmental adaptation as a continuous life challenge and how each step towards a more environmentally conscious architecture is in itself a redefining moment.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
