Sports Network Expands as Digital Signage Hits the Ice | Mediacaster Magazine - Broadband & Content


Montreal's Newad digital marketing and publishing company is expanding its ad network with new exclusive partner Canlan Ice Sports, one of the biggest owner-operator of ice sports facilities in North America.
In addition to its Classic digital signage screens and ad boards, Newad will offer new products including ice-in logos, rink boards, dressing room graphics, mega banners, decals and Zamboni wraps.

The 15 Canlan sports facilities including ice rinks and indoor soccer facilities, that are included in the deal are located in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.

Newad now offers a wide range of advertising products in these facilities, allowing advertisers to run targeted national and regional campaigns across the country.

On top of their NHL-sized ice rinks, each Canlan facility includes food and beverage services and a sports store. Canlan also owns and operates the Adult Safe Hockey League (ASHL), the largest adult recreational hockey league in the world with over 75,000 registered players. Newad will operate the totality of the advertising spaces in these 15 facilities.
Canlan Ice Sports Corp currently owns and/or manages 21 facilities in Canada and the United States with 64 surfaces including ice rinks and indoor soccer fields.
