Videotron will continue on its multi-platform media strategy, as financial reports for Quebecor Inc. second quarter show growth across all its operating divisions.
Quebecor reported its consolidated financial results for the second quarter of 2011 and announced a normal course issuer bid. Quebecor consolidates the financial results of its Quebecor Media Inc.
("Quebecor Media") subsidiary, in which it holds a 54.7% interest. Quebecor adopted International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS") on January 1, 2011. The Corporation's condensed consolidated financial statements for the three-month and six-month periods ended June 30, 2011 have therefore been prepared in accordance with IFRS and comparative figures for 2010 have been restated.
